Picasso, the Legacy

Picasso, the Legacy

On Picasso’ death, his eleven homes were found to contain 50 000 unknown canvases and drawings that came to light when they were given to the French state in 1985 in lieu of inheritance tax. Thanks to unpublished archive material and rare exclusive interviews with members of the Picasso family, the portrait of a secret Picasso has emerged, one whose inspiration was rekindled by each new love affair. Settling his huge estate was to turn Picasso’s complicated extended family upside down.
