As humans, animals share knowledge and traditions that they learn from each other and pass on from generation to generation. For the first time, scientists and experts in ecology and ethology agree to point out animal culture as the second form of inheritance beyond genetics. In this three-part series, we take a closer look at fascinating behaviors in the wild only to discover how incredibly widespread culture is in animal populations, identifying the wide range of common skills and preferences binding individuals together. Now is the time to explore animal societies across the planet with a new perspective, unveiling the unexpected abilities and subtleties of a cultural repertoire previously imperceptible to our eyes.
