Follow the story of little fawn Bambi through his adventures, accompanied by the animals that surround him in the forest, and built on the theme of cycles: the seasons, birth, life and death, as a metaphor of disappearance. Knowledge comes through the discovery of nature, learning through the efforts that Bambi must make to grow up. The succession of generations and the identification with the elders are recurrent themes in this initiatory tale. Friendship, respect, self-discovery and the discovery of others are addressed in a poetic way in this film adaptation written as a hymn to nature.
